Advances in Dynamic Epistemic Logic
نویسنده
چکیده
The paper fixes a formalization of dynamic epistemic logic, loosely based on Baltag, Moss, Solecki [1], and proves a number of useful facts about epistemic update logic. In particular, the notion of an action emulation is proposed as a notion of equivalence more appropriate for action models than bisimulation. It is proved that every bisimulation is an action emulation, but not vice versa, and that action models that effect the same updates are the same modulo action emulation. Next, some results are proved about the effects of communicative actions, and further questions are put on the research agenda.

Not All Those Who Wander Are Lost: Dynamic Epistemic Reasoning in Navigation
In everyday life, people get lost even when they have the map: they simply may not know where they are in the map. However, when moving forward they may have new observations which can help to locate themselves by reasoning. In this paper, we propose and develop a semantic-driven dynamic epistemic framework to handle epistemic reasoning in such navigation scenarios. Our framework can be viewed ...
متن کاملPublic Announcements and Belief Expansion
In this paper we study the relation between two approaches to information change: Dynamic Epistemic Logic and Belief Revision. One of the main differences between these approaches is that higher-order information plays an important role in the field of Dynamic Epistemic Logic, whereas it does not feature in Belief Revision. In this paper we study to which extent public announcements (a particul...
متن کاملBilattice Public Announcement Logic
Building on recent work on bilattice modal logic and extensions of public announcement logic to a non-classical setting, we introduce a dynamic epistemic logic having the logic of modal bilattices as propositional support. Bilattice logic is both inconsistency-tolerant and paracomplete, thus suited for applications in contexts with multiple sources of information, where one may have to deal wit...
متن کاملA Complete Proof System for a Dynamic Epistemic Logic Based upon Finite pi-Calculus Processes
The pi-calculus process algebra describes the interaction of concurrent and communicating processes. In this paper we present the syntax and semantics of a dynamic epistemic logic for multi-agent systems, where the epistemic actions are finite processes in the pi-calculus. We then extend the language to include actions from a specified set of action structures. We define a proof system for the ...
متن کاملA Uniform Logic of Information Dynamics
Unlike standard modal logics, many dynamic epistemic logics are not closed under uniform substitution. A distinction therefore arises between the logic and its substitution core, the set of formulas all of whose substitution instances are valid. The classic example of a non-uniform dynamic epistemic logic is Public Announcement Logic (PAL), and a well-known open problem is to axiomatize the sub...
